Community Minute: Foreclosure counseling and affordable housing in Prince George's Co.

Housing Initiative Partnership (HIP) is a nonprofit organization developing affordable housing and providing housing counseling in Prince George’s Co., Md. HIP develops multifamily housing and builds and rehabilitates single family dwellings with an emphasis on green construction. It also maintains rental properties for artists and senior citizens. For individuals interested in purchasing a home, HIP offers HUD-approved homeownership programs. The organization also assists residents with counseling, loan modifications and other services to help them prevent or recover from foreclosure.
