April 27, 2007 - It's springtime...and that means it's prom season. Some communities are making an effort to make sure teens don't drink during the festivities.
April 27, 2007 - The US Department of Energy wants to give the federal goverment the ability to overrule states when it comes to building transmission lines in certain areas. The proposal would apply to a swath of land that covers most of Maryland and 15 counties in Virginia.
Federal officials are inviting public comment on the proposal for the next 60 days. Bob Lazaro, with the Piedmont Environmental Council, says that's not enough.....
IF THEY REALLY HAD ANY SPINE, THEY WOULD HOLD A PUBLIC MEETING IN EVERY COUNTY AND EVERY STATE IMPACTED BY THESE PROPOSALS. THE PUBLIC DESERVES AT LEAST THAT MUCH.
A spokesman for Virginia's Attorney General says his office is not ruling out a lawsuit.
