An hour-long Americana program to highlight new acoustic American roots music. Hosted by Jen Hitt, Capital Americana features music from acts who are performing in the D.C. area., new albums by Americana musicians, as well as interviews and live performances from musicians who visit our studio.

Americana is a relatively new general music genre, which includes folk, bluegrass, alt-country, blues, and other roots music.
