Trips to the Birchmere soon followed, where Chris heard the Scene, the Country Gentlemen, and other Washington-area bluegrass bands on their home turf.

Chris has been presenting bluegrass and related music on the airwaves in Connecticut since 1978, and joined WAMU's Bluegrass Country as Senior Music Producer in September of 2011. He now lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
