Aug. 14: An Evening with Music Legend Ricky Skaggs
Gaithersburg Book Festival and Politics & Prose present [An Evening with Music Legend Ricky Skaggs tonight at 7 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg. The Grammy Award-winning country and bluegrass musician will play a few songs and share stories from his new memoir, Kentucky Traveler: My Life in Music.

Aug. 15: Kayte Grace & Ellen Kaye with Ethan Fein & The M57 Band
Tomorrow night you can head to Ebeneezers Coffeehouse in Northeast for an event featuring performances by Ellen Kaye, the Moscow 57 band, and D.C. native Kayte Grace, who plays a blend of blues, folk, pop and rock. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

You can see an exhibit at Adah Rose Gallery in Kensington that is curated by the venue’s interns. CARTE BLANCHE; ASIA, JOEY, AND KARA features work by more than 40 artists. You can check it out through August 29.
