Sept. 26: The Intentional Quarterly Release Party
Tonight you can help support local artists at Chez Billy in Northwest, where D.C.-based magazine The Intentional Quarterly will host a release party for its second issue. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will include food, drinks, art sales, live music, an art installation, an interactive video project, and a station where you can design your own screen-printed bandanas.
Sept. 26-29: Media Rise Festival
The Media Rise Festival “celebrates how storytelling, design, art and media can contribute to a peaceful, just, and sustainable world.” The event series ends this Sunday after a Youth Festival and “Doc in a Day” video screening, but there are still plenty of discussions and workshops to attend before then. You can check out a panel discussion with musicians dedicated to social and environmental change, listen to creative proposals and share your own ideas during “Pitch Night” or dance the night away at an opening party featuring food, music and art.
