Folklife Festival Concerts

Fri., Jul. 4 at 8 p.m.

This program features live concert recordings from the Texas program of the 42nd annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Hear from bluesman Texas Johnny Brown, contemporary conjunto ensemble Los Texamanics, singer/songwriter Terri Hendrix, Western swing band Jody Nix & the Texas Cowboys, and the old-style Creole group Les Amis Creole.

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival celebrates cultural traditions of communities across the United States and around the world. This year the festival, held June 25th-29th and July 2nd-6th on the National Mall, features the culture of Texas, Bhutan, and NASA.
